NIDA’s Monolopy on Cannabis Research – Lyle Craker, PhD – Director of the Medicinal Plant Program at the University of Massachusetts, Dr. Lyle Craker submitted an application to the Drug Enforcement Administration in 2001 to grow medicinal grade cannabis for research. The National Institute on Drug Abuse is currently the only legal source of cannabis in America, grown by NIDA at the University of Mississippi.
